Sergio Segantin was born in Paderno Dugnano in te province of Milan on 3 July 1944, he nows live in Cinisello Balsamo where he continues his creative pursuits.
Ex-member of the “Pablo Neruda” Cultural Assosiation and responsible for coordinating the Poets Group, he has organized numerous group exhibitions and poetry readings in and around Cinisello Balsamo.
He has participated in many national and international competitions and art exhibitions where he has always been highly praised by every panel of judges.
His works appear in numerous anthologies and in the prestigious ‘Agenda dei Poeti' (‘Poets Diary').
He is the founder and the president of the ‘Giovanni Segantini' group of painters and poets. Proof of his worth are the numerous testimonials that Segantin has been awarded, of which the most prestigious is undoubtedly the ‘Honoris Causa Maestro di Pittura' (honorary Master of Painting Degree) that he received in the International Seminar on Modern and Contemporary Art in Salsomaggiore Terme in 1982.
Recently he was nominated for another Honoris Causa during a review organised by the Neopolitan ‘Velardiniello' Academy of which Teresa D'Amico is the president.
