Elizabeth Urabe:
Artist's website: I believe life to be a journey of the evolution of the spirit. At some point in the course of each person's life, something will happen that will bring about a 180 degree shift in the way he or she perceives reality. When this shift takes place, we begin to remember that the answers lie within us. We begin to take back our true power. We begin to remember that our purpose is to love. We begin to remember Who we really are. These pictures are a powerful catalyst for the kind of very real spiritual awakening that can help us to transform our lives. They are a mirror in which we can see the reflection of our own soul. The energies they embody are alive, conscious, vibrating. You can actually form a relationship with any one of these pictures and use it to assist you in your own processes of healing and of growth. I invite you to do so; in fact, I beg you to do so. Our world is in desperate need of individuals courageous enough to take on the challenge of awakening completely. Broadly speaking, my work can be divided into three distinct groups, each with its own unique energies and purpose. The first group of pictures are pictures of Awakening. When something in you - on whatever level, be it physical, emotional, intellectual or spiritual - responds to a picture from Group I, know that memories are being stirred within you of the way life was before fear entered our consciousness, when perfect Love was all we knew. The energy in these pictures will encourage introspection, triggering questions such as: "Who am I? Why am I here? What is the true purpose of my life?" It is important to ask ourselves these questions, and to allow the answers to arise within us, even if the answers are initially a bit foreign or frightening. The second group of pictures are pictures of Healing. To heal means "to make whole". You will find, for the most part, that you feel either a strong attraction, or an equally strong aversion to, the pictures in this group. This is because both those parts of ourselves that we like AND those parts of ourselves that we don't like, are important keys in answering the kind of questions asked above. Our being is like a jigsaw puzzle, and all the pieces are necessary in order for the mystery of who we are and why we are here to be unraveled. The third group of pictures are pictures of Transformation and Reintegration. All healing involves looking at pain from a new and different perspective, and allowing it to be transformed into Love. We fear that which we do not understand. When right understanding is restored, fear dissolves and Love returns to take its place... At the age of 18, I joined Mercedes Benz training center at TELCO, Jamshedpur, India. All the technical exercises charts were made by me because I was good at drawing. Once I saw a highly polished Mercedes Benz car. I saw my own distorted image on the body parts of that car which were polished like a mirror. This was the reflection my own face which was coming distorted. This incident gave a strike to my mind and immediately I went to my room and took a highly polished Chinese pen cap and placed it on a white card. I started trying to make a figure on the card in order to see true and correct inside the pen cap as result of the reflection. After few trials I was able to draw some correct figures which were looking meaningless on the white card. this was the beginning of this for of art. By that time I was not aware about the history and name of this art form but I kept on trying to get some interesting figure. After few months I made my first Anamorphic painting to be seen through the pen cap was of a nude lady.later I resigned TELCO and joined TISCO as a craftsman. Gradually I developed this technique and was able to make portrait. The first Cylindrical Anamorphic portrait I made was of Mr. J.R.D.Tata, which was gifted to him on behalf our department. this practice continued and I made several portraits to the distinguished personalities in India and abroad. Over the years I have achieved enough perfection in this form of art. I am the holder of Guinness World records for the Largest Anamorphic portrait in the year 2004 and have registered name into the Limca Book of Records in India. Aprt from Cylindrical Anamorphic, I am master of Scratch art. This form of art is also rarely available.I do free hand scratch art on stainless steel or aluminum plates. recently I have created a cylindrical Anamorphic painting with Scratch work on the steel plate instead of using colors on the canvas. I strongly believe that my artworks will be liked by anyone who sees it because he/she will see for the first time. I am old to explain things but still young enough to prove by showing my work. I have done several exhibitions and presently running my own Art Studio in India at #1401, GLOXINIA, VIJAYA GARDENS, BARIDIH, JAMSHEDPUR, JHARKHAND, PIN-831017 (INDIA)
One of over 350 pictures channeled by the artist and which she believes to be the physical level manifestation of extremely subtle energies of awakening, healing, and spiritual transformation.
